The Verastarr SSA-644 Amplifier is the quintessential power amplifier. It is designed to have incredible transient response and dynamics while retaining a completely transparent character. The SSA-644 is a true reference-grade instrument and once you put this amplifier in your system you will not want to remove it. It is 440W x 6-channel at 8 ohms with all channels driven simultaneously at full power (.01%THD).

This is an extremely natural, defined and articulate 440W. We are aware this type of power is beyond normal listening levels. The reason we make it so powerful is for a high-level of dynamic headroom. This means at normal listening levels the amplifier is working at about 30% of it's capability, making sure operation is always in a very efficient sweet spot. Should you command the SSA-644 to step up the game, to power hard-to-drive loads or to make large speakers in a large room sing, it will stand the challenge with authority. You will be amazed at the control this amplifier has with your loudspeakers. Some reviewers have likened the SSA-644 to having sound like a single-ended triode with woofer control, punch, and dynamics of a solid state monoclock.

The SSA-644 is very capable of producing a wide, transparent, fully holographic soundstage. It is a terrific amplifier to use when testing components or cables due to it's incredibly revealing nature. In addition, the SSA-644 is extremely quiet. Quiet passages emanate from a rich, velvety black background. Midrange is seductive, smooth, fleshed out and liquid - and the top end relays incredible space, air and detail without any etch or sterility. The SSA-644 may be operated as a 2,3,4,5,or 6 channel amplifier, this facilitates the ability to bi or tri-amplify your speakers for the ultimate in high end 2 channel amplification. The SSA64 is rack-mountable in any standard, 19" audio rack with optional rack ears installed.
