In my 4 years of reviewing audio gear I've spent quite a bit of time investigating cables and the effects that they have on both mid-level and high-end gear. I've come to the conclusion that wire is a significant part of the sound that you will get out of your system. Some will say that all wire is doing is "coloring" your systems tonal balance. To some extent this is true, but this is where we have to decide if this is a positive aspect or something else. I consider it positive. I believe that your "highway", your cable path, is where you can either make or break your systems strengths.

Of the many cables I've reviewed the one that I keep coming back to is Verastarr. Most cables will either shift your tonal balance from warm to cool or vice versa. Some will be very revealing; some are so warm they will put you to sleep. With Verastarr cables,something I noticed right off the bat was how crisp things sounded. Drums had extra snap, trumpets were more realistically intense, and strings had reverberations that you usually only hear at live concerts. The Verastarr cable was very revealing and leaned towards neutral on tonal characteristics. On my two systems, one a tube headphone based rig, and the other a solid state two channel speaker based system, I found one Verastarr model cable preformed best with the tube system, and the other with the SS.

I've attempted to change out the Verastarr cables with others I have in my stock, some much more expensive, and what I find is, I keep coming back to the Verastarr cables. I think I'm done, or as done as one can be in this ever changing hobby. I heartily recommend the Verastarr cables, you will not be disappointed.

Hi Mike, Thought I'd send a quick note. I just put the wires in the loop this weekend and had some time to listen. DAMN SON! Those are some kick ass cables! Right out of the box they put the whammy on some highly thought of 8 footers that weren't fully broken in, but had a fair amount of time on them. I think your claim of these things competing with anything out there just might come close to the truth. Kudos to you, Brandon(who made another incredible looking pair of cables!), and anyone else involved there at Verastarr. It may not count for much to some, but your packaging is top of the line! It certainly gives a definite feeling of pride to see how much you value the worth of someone plunking down money and receiving a Rolls Royce product, top to bottom, instead of just throwing them in some box with minimal thought to presentation.

Mike, I got the cables the other day. I installed them and turned the system (Audio Research VT 200) on. My wife, (who's not an audiophile) and I immediately heard the clearest, brightest, most dynamic, sweet sounding sound my system has ever produced. These cables are great. These cables are unbelievable!!! Not only do they look good, but you were right, they sound great!

For the record, I thought these cables sound better than the Audioquest 4+ I was using. The highs are detailed, and the lows are deep and accurate. The silver helps to keep the signal clean, and the Teflon helped to cut down on any "extraneous" interference that is present from other cables behind my equipment rack. I am using: Rotel RSX 1065 receiver, Carver SD/A 360 cd, Monster HTS 5000 Line conditioner, and B&W CDM 7NT, and CNT for the 5, and M7K v76 for the .1.

Mike, I just hooked up your wire in a bi-wire bi-amp configuration for my main speakers - Outstanding difference in soundstage, clarity, and pin-point placement of sound sources. Holographic music notes - you can actually hear the notes as they decay! THANKS!, may need more for the Home Theater!

Mike, I installed your single run speaker cables over the weekend and they were a significant upgrade over the Kimbers I had been using. My preamp is Angstrom, with a Chiro amp, to Von Shweikert speakers and the sound is amazing. Deep soundstage, controlled bass, almost perfect separation, no harshness in female vocals and no chestiness in male vocals, all with solid state gear. This cable beats others I have tried, including the Kimbers I just mentioned, Tributaries, Audioquest,MIT, and others. I am extremely pleased I took a chance on your cables and ordered them over the internet. In addition, I truly appreciate your exceptional and courteous customer service.

Mike, I just received your cables, it's only been about an hour but I'm impressed, no break in required. Transparent and detailed is exactly how I would describe your cables. Very revealing. Low level listening shows me what I was missing!. Absolutely NO shortcomings, it lets all the music through!. Hi Mike, I finally got everything connected, and WOW! Your interconnects really put the icing on the cake. They really blew my socks off. The component video cables also made a tremendous difference,- Colors much brighter and definition greatly improved. I just did not think I would be able to see that much apparent change. In fact, I would like to order an additional 2 sets of the component video cables, each one meter.

Hi Mike, I've got about 20 hours of break in time into these cables and all I can say is that they are stunning indeed. They are incredibly detailed and open, and I 'm hearing music like I've never heard it before. I've spent a fair amount of money on my components, expecting the music to sound beautiful but always felt like there was something missing. Mike, these IC's blow me away with their clarity, soundstage...width and depth, and the kicker is they are so darn quiet...they lower the noise floor. Once I got the right IC's hooked up with the phono stage it was incredibly quiet and that is no easy feat with a phono stage which is susceptible to all kinds of extraneous noise...believe me I know from years of trying to achieve the blackest of black backgrounds.
